Dr. Andres Velasco was trained at Texas Tech University with an internship at Baylor University and is a board certified physician by the American Board of Family Medicine. Doctor Andres Velasco has over 20 years experience as an emergency room physician. He grew up in Colombia with the love of medicine starting at an early age with the strong influence of his father who is also a physician.
Dr. Velasco's initial encounters in the United States with doctors left him with the impression that while they were undoubtedly skilled, their demeanor and manner of interaction were lacking in warmth and empathy. This experience has instilled in him a deep commitment to providing compassionate care to his patients and fostering meaningful relationships with them. Dr. Velasco places great value on treating the whole person, not just their illness, and strives to create a supportive and understanding environment in his practice.
